SharkDispersionSR2™

Our customers’ goals came first when developing SharkDispersionSR2™. We wanted to make it easier for anyone working with our dispersions to achieve superior performance in wet scrub resistance. Therefore, Class 1 is now possible when this dispersion is used as sole binder or in blended systems.

SharkDispersionSR2™ is our latest generation PVB binder having improved wet scrub resistance.

Why Shark Solutions’ waterborne binders?

All SharkDispersions™ are based on 100% recycled PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral), obtained from the recycling of automotive windshields and other types of laminated glass.

Other advantages include:

• Your final paint formulation based on SharkDispersions™ can have a carbon footprint which is 6 to 10 times lower than the carbon footprint using traditional binders, such as acrylics and styrene acrylics.
• SharkDispersions™ contain < 1 g/l VOCs.
• SharkDispersionSR2™ contains no biocides, still guaranteeing a shelf life of minimum 12 months.
• SharkDispersions™ have had historically stable pricing, due to our feedstocks’ independence from fluctuations of oil or gas prices.
