Reduce Your CO2 Footprint with Sustainable PVB Binders

How much CO2 could you save using Shark Solutions rPVB?

Using sustainably sourced  rPVB binder in your paint formulation can typically reduce CO2 emissions by a factor of 6 to 10 depending on the type of traditional virgin oil based binder you currently use.

Shark Solutions has engaged a leading 3rd party company to document CO2 emission data on our sustainable PVB based binder products. This Cradle-to-Gate study, including packaging materials, adheres to the international carbon footprint standard ISO 14067:2018, and is conducted for the benefit of Shark Solutions’ customers. The report has been verified by Bureau Veritas using ISO 14067.

The output products of the PVB recycling processes come in different forms. This study includes the following three rPVB products. The COemissions are as the following:

Kg CO2-eq/ kg product
Shark Dispersion MW                           0.446
Shark Dispersion SX                             0.452
Shark Pellets                                          0.209
